"Everyone associated with 'Animal' must self-introspect, question themselves. Everyone associated with everyone who is associated with 'Animal' must send them to therapy and also stay away from them for at least six months after they start seeing a therapist. Vile isn't daring," an angry Netizen named Sayantan Ghosh wrote after watching Ranbir Kapoor's latest movie. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is a Telugu, has riled up many across the country. You could say that he has made the most polarizing, anti-Woke film in Bollywood cinema.
Another Netizen opined that the film propels a pathological mindset. "I wanted to watch but was a little apprehensive given the misogyny in Vanga's last movie. I read a review that says the male protagonist picks Rashmika Mandanna and she had to accept because he is an alpha male. It's over. That Vanga is a pathetic misogynist pandering to similar men and women," the Twitter user lamented.
Many are worried about a problematic scene in 'Animal'. Ranbir's character deliberately hurts his wife in the scene. "The most disturbing part about watching 'Animal' in the theatre was the laughter when Ranbir's character was hurting Rashmika's character or when there were misogynistic dialogues," a user wrote.
Toxic masculinity has been glorified by most desi YouTubers and influencer bros, pondered another Twitter user, adding that 'Animal' only furthers the problematic trend.
