Dark Omens & Mythic Fury: Akshaye Khanna Roars as Asura Guru Shukracharya in PVCU’s Grand Spectacle Mahakali!

Following the global blockbuster triumph of Hanu-Man, which laid the bedrock for the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU / Purana Veera Chitra Udyam), the universe expands into grand, darker mythic territory. Production powerhouse RKD Studios and visionary creator Prasanth Varma have unleashed the high-voltage first glimpse of their upcoming historical epic, Mahakali.

Titled #Shukracharya’s WarCry, the 2-minute-and-55-second promo sets up an apocalyptic clash between Dharma and Adharma, locking a grand worldwide theatrical release for the festive season on January 8, 2027.

Akshaye Khanna’s Fierce Transformation as the Asura Preceptor

Stealing the spotlight with unbridled intensity, seasoned actor Akshaye Khanna appears in an unrecognizable, commanding avatar as Shukracharya, the legendary guru and strategist of the Asuras:

  • Gravitas & Menace: Sporting an intense gaze and an imposing physical demeanor, Akshaye Khanna delivers a chilling war-cry that signals the dawn of an all-out cosmic war.
  • A Deeper Conflict: Rather than a simple good-versus-evil binary, the glimpse frames the brewing war as an inevitable clash of destinies, ancient oaths, and cosmic balance, where Shukracharya marshals the forces of the netherworld to challenge divine dominion.

Massive World-Building & Stellar Ensemble

Presented by RK Duggal and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal, Mahakali is helmed by director Puja Aparna Kolluru, showcasing an ambitious leap in visual effects, set design, and scale:

  • Intriguing Lead Roles: The glimpse offers striking glimpses of Bhoomi Shetty and an intense, commanding presence from Sriya Reddy, alongside Rohit Saraf.
  • Veteran Support: The film brings together an illustrious pan-Indian ensemble including Khushbu Sundar, Samuthirakani, Rajat Kapoor, Murali Sharma, Nassar, Babloo Prithveeraj, Jitin Gulati, and Rakesh Bedi.
  • High-End Technical Palette: Lensed with grand lighting schemes by cinematographer Suresh Ragatu, the world is sculpted by production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala, with a thumping, ethnic-orchestral background score composed by Smaran Sai and intricate period costuming by Shilpa GNS.
With its ominous tone, scale, and rich mythological roots, Mahakali is positioned to be a major theatrical event when it lands on the big screen on January 8, 2027.
