The Diwali release 'Tiger 3', starring Salman Khan in the lead, hit the screens today (November 12). Film critics have given it mixed reviews.
In its review, NDTV described the espionage action thriller as "overlong, overheated and over the top". The review further added, "Watching 'Tiger 3' demands a willingness to turn a blind eye to occasional lapses in logic and the monotony that some of the action blocks engender, especially when they overstay their welcome."
Hindustan Times' opinion was largely positive about the movie. "It doesn't let you blink with its over-the-top action, decent performances, mind-boggling twists and a gripping screenplay. Director Maneesh Sharma packs all the elements in a manner that makes for an intriguing watch," the review said. Scroll wrote, "There is a reason that films of this sort are choppily edited, breathlessly leapfrogging from one montage to the next – they leave us with no time to examine the contrivances or plot holes."
Film Companion gave the most scathing review, calling the film a snoozefest. It said that SRK in 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', and Sunny Deol in 'Gadar 2', made the audience forget how hard it is for an aging star to pass as an action hero. On the other hand, 'Tiger 3' is a cautionary tale, the review added.
