'Mangalavaaram' is going to hit the screens on November 17. In his latest interview, director Ajay Bhupathi of 'RX 100' fame revealed that a song titled 'Appadappada Thaandra' from the movie has been removed after the CBFC raised objections.
"The Board members felt that some lines in the song might offend certain sections of society. They advised us to change the lyrics to avoid controversy. I didn't want to do that. That's why I decided to remove the song from the film. However, the full video version of the song will be released on YouTuber later this week," Bhupathi said.
Bhupathi's previous film, 'Maha Samudram', was a flop at the box office. He has now pinned hopes on 'Mangalavaaram', which has Payal Rajput, Nandita Swetha and Ajay Ghosh in prominent roles. "The song 'Ganagana Mogalira' is going to give you goosebumps. The song is an an amalgamation of 400 shots," Bhupathi said.
Produced by Mudhra Media Works and A Creative Works, the film has music by Ajaneesh B Loknath of 'Kantara' fame. "I met Ajaneesh just a week after the release of 'Kantara'. He was roped in much before 'Virupaksha' hit the screens," the director revealed.
