'Tillu Square' was supposed to hit the screens in August this year. It was postponed to September. It was, in a third deferment, postponed to November. Till now, there is no clarity about its release date.
Why is S Naga Vamsi, the producer of the comedy caper, holding back on the release date announcement? After all, his banner, Sithara Entertainments, is known for planning well in advance and has got a slew of releases coming up in the next few months.
In his latest interview, the producer said that 'Tillu Square' is a bigger brand than 'DJ Tillu' and that he is in no hurry to release it in a hurry for the same reason. "When 'DJ Tillu' was released in February 2022, nobody knew about the character and the audience had no expectations from the movie. 'Tillu Square', on the other hand, is a household name. I want a solo release for the movie (to maximize the revenue). That's why I am waiting for the right date. Let me do it in a relaxed manner," Naga Vamsi said.
The film, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, is expected to gross Rs 10 Cr on Day 1.
