Jr NTR has been honored with the Best Actor (Telugu) award at the ongoing SIIMA 2023 Awards ceremony. The award has been given in recognition of his performance in SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'.
This is the second time that Tarak has bagged a SIIMA Award. The first time he did was for 'Janatha Garage'.
The 'Aravindha Sametha' star went all the way to Dubai to attend the function. He is currently on a break from the shoot of 'Devara'.
The Nandamuri actor's presence at the ceremony comes at a time when a political upheaval is underway in Andhra Pradesh. He has been criticized by die-hard TDP supporters for not issuing a statement against the YCP government for getting N Chandrababu Naidu arrested in a scam. The 'Nannaku Prematho' actor is staying aloof from politics. His supporters are of the view that he is entitled to maintain silence. "The TDP doesn't care about him. How is he expected to condemn the government when the party needs him?" is the argument his supporters are making.
Coming back to 'Devara', the film is going to hit the screens on April 5, 2024. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine.
