Despite its lack of novelty, the trailer for 'Jawan' has become quite a rage. Going by the narrative prevalent on social media, Shah Rukh Khan's movie is going to witness spectacular openings in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu (in that order) on September 7.
A particular line from the trailer has become a Twitter trend. If the word 'Baap' is trending on Twitter India, it is because the trailer has this meta line: “Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar”.
The line may well be SRK's indirect way of saying that those who tried to frame his son in a false narcotics case better watch out for him. While his die-hard fans would like to think of the punchline as a personal warning, the dialogue is directly related to the story of 'Jawan', written by director Atlee.
Co-starring Nayanthara as the heroine and Vijay Sethupathi as a weapons dealer, the film has Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. Anirudh has composed the music.
The film's pre-release event was held in Chennai on Wednesday. The budget of the actioner, minus SRK's remuneration, is believed to be about Rs 150 Cr.
