'King of Kotha', starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, is going to hit the screens on August 24. The pre-release event of its Telugu version was held in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Natural Star Nani attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the 'Dasara' actor described the Mollywood hero as the only true pan-India hero. His reasoning is simple. "It is only for Dulquer that writers/directors from Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood write stories (even though he is a Malayalam actor). I usually don't like the fashionable term 'pan-India', but I would call Dulquer a true pan-India actor," the 'Hi Nanna' actor said.
Nani's view is not wrong. 'Sita Ramam' and 'Mahanati' were straight Telugu films made special by Dulquer. Directors Hanu Ragahvapudi and Nag Ashwin didn't mind roping him in. 'Chup: Revenge of the Artist' is a straight Hindi film headlined by Dulquer. 'Karwaan' and 'The Zoya Factor', too, were straight Hindi movies. 'O Kadhal Kanmani' ('OK Bangaram' in Telugu) was made by Mani Ratnam in Tamil with him as the hero.
