Actress Ameesha Patel acted opposite Pawan Kalyan in 'Badri' way back in 2000. She was a star actress in Hindi cinema in the 2000s. The news is that she is now embroiled in a cheque bounce case.
The actress has reportedly appeared before the Ranchi Civil Court in connection with the case. She is out on bail currently and will have to reappear before the court on June 21.
The case is nearly five years old. For the first time in the year 2018, a film producer named Ajay Kumar Singh filed a case of fraud and cheque bounce against her. Since then, the case has continued to haunt her on and off.
The producer lent Rs 2.5 Cr to the actress towards the making of a movie, which never got made. She didn't repay the borrowed amount, the complainant said.
As per Financial Express, Ameesha Patel was also in the news when UTF Telefilms accused her of a cheque bounce to the tune of Rs 32.25 lakh in 2021.
Meanwhile, Ameesha was in a happy mood just the other day while celebrating her birthday. She awaits the release of 'Gadar 2', the Bollywood period action drama, on August 11.
