Marking the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the makers of Queen have released a thought-provoking title glimpse that hints at a film far beyond a standard romance. Directed by the promising Rathan Rishi, who previously helmed Uttara and Artist, this third directorial venture is a heroine-centric drama introducing popular social media star Yamini ER to the silver screen.

Produced under the One Circle Films banner, the project is currently in the midst of regular production, aiming to blend an emotional narrative with significant social commentary.

A Love Story That Becomes Law

The newly released glimpse suggests that while history remembers love through monuments like the Taj Mahal, Queen focuses on a love that evolves into a new social law. The teaser prominently features imagery related to the Indian Constitution, the RTI Act, and people-centric governance, revolving around a unique concept titled the "Act of Love."

Director Rathan Rishi has crafted a story centered on an inspiring young woman’s battle. The plot follows her journey as she fights to grant legal status to her partner's vision, effectively transforming a personal dream into a societal reality.

A Powerful Ensemble Cast

The film boasts a strong lineup of performers to bolster its intense narrative:

  • The Protagonist: Social media influencer Yamini ER makes her acting debut in this demanding title role.

  • The Antagonists: Versatile actors Kalakeya Prabhakar and Ajay Ghosh have been cast as the primary villains.

  • Special Casting: In a move to add nostalgic value, the makers are reportedly in talks with a popular hero from the 1990s to portray the pivotal role of the heroine’s father.

Status and Outlook

Queen is positioning itself as a "new age" love story that resonates with contemporary society's legal and political landscape. By moving away from routine tropes and focusing on legal recognition and social change, the film is already sparking curiosity among fans of content-driven cinema.
