The upcoming period drama Kaantha, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashri Borse, continues to build excitement with the release of its first single, ‘Hey Pasi Manase’. The film, set against a captivating 1950s backdrop, has already intrigued audiences with its teaser, promising a story rich in emotion and visual grandeur.
Samuthirakani plays a pivotal role in this Tamil–Telugu bilingual, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and produced on a lavish scale by Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Prashanth Potluri, and Jom Varghese under the banners of Spirit Media Pvt. Ltd. and Wayfarer Films Pvt. Ltd.
‘Hey Pasi Manase’, composed by Jhanu Chanthar, is a tender throwback to the golden era of film music. Blending warm analog textures with lush orchestration, the track radiates the charm of vintage romance. Krishna Kanth’s heartfelt lyrics capture the innocence of young love, while Pradeep Kumar and Priyanka NK deliver a soulful duet that awakens both nostalgia and emotion.
Visually, the song takes audiences straight into an enchanting recreation of the 50s, with authentic set designs and period costumes meticulously crafted under the supervision of art director Tha.
