“Summer Holidays Takes Us Back to Grandparents’ Villages”: Sree Vishnu Launches Nostalgic Trailer Ahead of November 6 Release

Producer-distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni, known for backing unique story-driven cinema, is bringing a heartwarming slice-of-life drama titled ‘Summer Holidays’ under the Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainments banner. Directed by newcomer Srikar, the film features child prodigies Master Rohan Roy, Master Arun, and Baby Khushi in lead roles, supported by veteran performers Jayasudha, Vasuki Anand, Harsha Vardhan, and Rajeev Kanakala.

At a lively trailer launch held in Hyderabad, the ‘King of Entertainment’ Sree Vishnu unveiled the theatrical preview as the chief guest, endorsing the movie as an essential family outing for the festive season ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on November 6.

Sree Vishnu: “A Heartfelt Return to Rooted Childhoods”

Addressing the gathering, Sree Vishnu expressed deep affection for the project, noting how the visuals evoke forgotten vacation rituals:

“Watching the trailer of ‘Summer Holidays’ instantly transported me back to my school days, when vacations meant rushing to our native villages. Somewhere along the line, the tradition of children spending summers with their grandparents has faded into package tours and resort getaways. This film revives that innocence and emotional grounding.

Rohan is an actor of pure passion whom I worked with earlier, Arun shows the spark of a National Award winner in the making, and Khushi is natural on screen. Vasuki garu’s presence immediately triggers nostalgia from Tholi Prema. I urge families to head to theaters on November 6 and celebrate this clean, emotional story together.”

Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni: “Not Just for Kids, It’s a Mirror for Adults”

Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni opened up about the initial industry skepticism surrounding the viability of children-centric scripts in mainstream theaters:

“When I greenlit this script, colleagues asked why I was investing in a children's film and whether theatergoers would turn up. But if a film like Summer Holidays succeeds, it gives courage to a hundred new storytellers to tell rooted stories that are currently gathering dust.

We celebrate such films when they come from Iranian, Japanese, or other Indian industries; it’s time Telugu cinema nurtures them. This is an entertainer with children at the center, but it will resonate even deeper with adults. And as for releasing in November: Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthi’ didn’t release during Sankranti, nor did Nani’s ‘Dasara’ arrive on Dasara. Content dictates success, not the calendar season.”

Cast & Crew Reflections: Pure Emotions and Enduring Bonds

  • Director Srikar: Commended the ensemble's energy, pointing out that Master Rohan's high-spirited screen presence channels the infectious momentum of classic commercial leads: “Every sequence is crafted without a dull moment. Jayasudha garu as Ammama and Vasuki garu as the mother ground the film in authentic warmth.”

  • Vasuki Anand: Reflected on the script's rarity in modern cinema: “In an era filled with relentless trends, scripts that capture innocent, unadulterated human relationships are rare. It is an honor to play this role.”

  • Young Leads Speak: Master Arun shared his hope that the film inspires today’s kids to spend time in rural villages with their grandparents, while Master Rohan Roy and Baby Khushi thanked the creators for trusting them with central character arcs.

  • Music by Sinjith Yerramilli: The composer confirmed that audio post-production is nearing completion following the positive reception of the three released singles.
