Parents Should Raise Daughters Like Ammoru: Director Munna at 'Bad Girls' Title Launch Event
Director Munna Dhulipudi, known for his successful film 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela, is back with another intriguing project titled 'Bad Girls,' carrying the compelling tagline 'Kani Chala Manchollu' (But Very Good People). The film features Anchal Gowda, Payal Chengappa, Roshini, and Yashna in lead roles, with Rohan Surya and Moin playing pivotal characters. Produced by Sashidhar Nalla, Emmadi Soma Narsayya, Ramisetty Rambabu, and Ravula Ramesh under the banners of Neeli Neeli Aakasam Creations, Prashwitha Entertainment, and NVL Creations, the film boasts music by Anup Rubens and lyrics by Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose. The film's title motion poster was grandly unveiled at Prasad Labs, with directors Chandoo Mondeti, Shiva Nirvana, and Krishna Chaitanya attending as chief guests.
Director's Vision: Empowering Women, Challenging Norms
During the event, director Munna Dhulipudi passionately articulated the film's core message: "Just like a hand that saves a child in Baahubali, Anup Rubens has extended his hand to me. The reason for my recognition is Chandrabose Garu and Anup Garu. Chandrabose Garu couldn't make it today, and I missed him. I even named my banner after his song, 'Neeli Neeli Aakasam.' I will always work with these two whenever I make films. Another such song is coming from our combination, which we will release in 10 days. It will be a beautiful pre-wedding song. Anup has given me another wonderful gift in my life."
Munna revealed the inspiration behind the story: "This story was inspired by the experiences of many girls. One day, at 4 AM, I was waiting for a lift on a road in Hyderabad when a girl stopped her scooter and asked if I wanted to go to Charminar for chai. She told me she wanted to enjoy her last day of freedom before marriage, as she wouldn't have it afterward. This film is inspired by many such stories where girls lose their freedom after marriage. I narrated this story to five or six big producers, but they questioned if it would have market appeal with new girls. That's why my classmates and I invested our own money to make this film."
He stressed the importance of empowering young women: "This is a story about well-educated girls. Parents often raise daughters with fear. This film says that girls should be raised with courage, not fear. Girls should be raised like Ammoru (a fierce goddess). I am requesting all state Chief Ministers and the central government from our movie team to include self-defense as a subject in schools for girls to protect themselves. The inspiration for starting this banner came from director Maruthi Garu. If you like the trailer and songs, then please watch our film. There's a song similar to 'Neeli Neeli Aakasam' in this film. When I narrated this story to director Buchi Babu, he encouraged me, saying it's not a small film but a very good one. Sukumar Garu loved the title. I can never forget these four girls. Renuka Desai Garu has done a good character in this film; she will participate in the next events. Thank you all."
Industry Support and Expectations
Director Krishna Chaitanya commented, "Munna is a very fun person. Very few directors make films with new actors. My friend Munna deserves success for his hard work. Anup Rubens' music is amazing. Just having Chandrabose Garu's name is enough. Moin told me 15 years ago that he would become a hero. I entrusted him to director Pawan, who made him an actor. From there, he has done good characters and reached this stage. All the best to the entire team."
Shiva Nirvana wished the team success: "May 'Bad Girls' achieve great success. All the best to the entire team. It's truly courageous to make a film with four new girls. Munna, who is making a concept film with such young talent, is a straightforward person. This film will bring him great success. May all the producers earn good money. The two main pillars of this film are Anup and Chandrabose Garu. 'Neeli Neeli Aakasam' went viral. Munna became known to everyone with just one song. There is a similar song in this film too. I wish this film great success."
Comedian Bhadram humorously added, "Director Munna is the hero of this film. We both used to roam around the Google office. It feels great to hear that he is the director of 'Neeli Neeli Aakasam.' Whether it's 'Bad' or 'Good,' it changes according to the situation. I wish this film brings good recognition to everyone."
Director Chandoo Mondeti extended his best wishes: "All the artists and technicians in this film are known to me. I wish this film a big hit. All the best to everyone."
Music Director Anup Rubens expressed his pleasure: "After 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela, I am working with Munna Garu again. This film will also be a wonderful one. I am happy to work with Munna under the Neeli Neeli Aakasam banner. All the best to our team."
The producers collectively stated, "The songs and story in this film are all very good. We wish this film great success. Even though it's called 'Bad Girls,' they have acted very well. We request every family to watch and enjoy this film."
Post-Production and Cast Contributions
Editor Nageswara Reddy provided an update: "The film has as much emotion as it has comedy. Post-production work is currently underway. The film has turned out very well. It will definitely be a success."
Actor Moin thanked the team: "Thank you to the director and producers for giving me this opportunity. I was the last cast member for this film. Even though our heroines don't speak Telugu, they acted very well. They worked very hard in minus degrees in the snow. Our 'Bad Girls' will be released soon."
Actor Surya concluded, "I never thought of becoming a hero. My desire is to be a good actor. Thanks to director Munna for selecting me for this film after seeing me in a reel. Thanks to the entire team. Each of the four girls has a hidden talent."
