Andhra Pradesh has taken a giant leap in neonatal and women's health with the inauguration of its first Mother's Milk Bank at Andhra Hospitals by Namrata Shirodkar. This pioneering facility will provide life-saving nourishment to vulnerable newborns, offering screened donor milk to those whose mothers face lactation challenges.
Simultaneously, Namrata launched a powerful initiative to combat cervical cancer, announcing a free vaccination drive targeting 1,500 girls aged 9 to 18 by 2025. Both the milk bank and the vaccination drive are provided entirely free of charge.
Representing the Mahesh Babu Foundation, Namrata underscored the foundation's decade-long dedication to pediatric healthcare. "Over the past ten years, we've partnered with Andhra Hospitals to facilitate over 4,500 life-changing pediatric heart surgeries," she revealed. The foundation is committed to expanding its reach, ensuring critical medical care is accessible to every child in need.
During her visit, Namrata shared heartwarming moments with young patients in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU, celebrating their resilience and recovery. "This day is filled with purpose and gratitude," she expressed. "Every action we take is dedicated to building a healthier future for our children."
The Mahesh Babu Foundation and Andhra Hospitals are demonstrating a powerful commitment to transforming lives, solidifying their impact on maternal and child healthcare throughout Andhra Pradesh.
