Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman was briefly hospitalized in Chennai's Apollo Hospital after experiencing chest pain. His spokesperson confirmed the discomfort stemmed from dehydration, compounded by his observance of Ramzan fasting, following his return from London.
"He felt unwell and went for a check-up last night. Doctors attributed his condition to dehydration," stated the spokesperson. Sources assure that Rahman is now recovering well.
This news comes after Rahman and his wife, Saira Banu, announced their divorce last year. The musician expressed his emotional response to the separation on social media, thanking friends for respecting their privacy during the difficult time.
Rahman is expected to make a full recovery.
