Renowned novelist Yandamuri Veerendranath and film director Krishna Vamsi visited Lakshmipuram village, Anakapalli district, on Monday. Accompanied by Kusireddy Shiva, founder of the Nenu Saitham Charitable Trust Foundation, they paid homage at the tombs of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Gantam Dora. They later addressed the press.
Yandamuri Veerendranath praised Krishna Vamsi's patriotism, citing his reverent gesture at Alluri's tomb and recalling the director's patriotic film "Khadgam."
Krishna Vamsi expressed his long-held desire to visit Alluri's historical sites, a wish fulfilled during this trip. He mentioned the book "Akupacha Suryodayam," which inspired his determination to explore Alluri's legacy. He also stated his intention to create a compelling film based on Alluri's history.
Following the visit, the Nenu Saitham Charitable Trust distributed clothing to the family of Gantam Dora, Alluri's key follower, who reside in Koyyuru Mandal. Kusireddy Shiva, the trust's founder, participated in the distribution.
