The Taiwan based Computer chip giant TSMC has announced tripling its investments in a giant US plant to about $40bn, which is being touted as one of the largest foreign investments in American history.

This was announced when the US President Joe Biden and the Taiwan-based company’s boss opened this path breaking factory in Arizona. It is already known that the Biden administration is going aggressively to bring onshore production involving key components right from phones to military jets.

TSMC is the largest maker of micro chips in the world for other companies, which also includes clients like Apple. The investment is also a big boost for President Biden after the supply chain disruption that resulted in chip shortages due to the growing tensions between US and China. Since chips are very sensitive for major industries, many countries in the world are trying to be self-reliant in this segment.

Coming Soon - Job Interviews In VR!

           virtual reality VR

Attending a job interview is crucial for the careers of many. Aspirants are usually interviewed by other humans, after walking into a new office or even a Zoom call.

As a result of advances in artificial intelligence (AI) as well as virtual reality (VR) technology, you might soon be interviewed for your job, using a computer. Researchers have already been using VR headsets to conduct mock interviews.

The VR system for students was created by a London-based company called Bodyswaps.  According to Bodyswaps' chief executive Christophe Mallet, the inspiration behind this innovative idea is that people can practice well with the simulated job interviews till they feel confident for a real-life one. This is yet to be tested on a large scale, but in the world of technology, innovations have proved right many times.
