 Movie Review: Bhaag Saale

Plot:

Arjun (played by Sri Simha) is a chef by profession who always wants to make a lot of money in life. He is madly in love with Maya (played by Neha Solanki), but he lies to her that he is rich. He always dreams of starting his own restaurant. What happens when his plans fail is the rest of the story.

Performances:

Sri Simha has delivered a subtle performance in the movie. His character has elements of comedy, furor, and shrewdness. She was expressive, and his comedy timing worked well.

Neha Solanki brings glamour to this film. The lead pair share a sizzling chemistry on screen, and their story is well depicted.

Rajeev Kanakala plays the father of Arjun. He got to do some organic comedy, which came as a relief for the audience.

Nandini Rai gets to play a notorious role. Satya, Harsha, and Varshini have portrayed their parts well.

Plus:

Comedy in parts

Sri Simha’s performance

Music by Kaala Bhairava

The overall cast

Minus:

Routine story

Scenes feel like they are taken from old trope movies we watched earlier.

Comedy in many scenes

Lack of connection

Technicalities:

On the writing aspect, writer-director Praneeth Sai has chosen an old way of writing. Of course, this film will be made in 2020. One good thing about the writing is that all the characters in the movie have something to do with the story.

The way all the characters are weaved together in the overall narration was impressive; however, in many parts, the comedy feels forced despite having many comedians in the show.

Kaala Bhairava’s music adds an oomph factor to the movie. His music adds to the overall story.

The cinematography was lively and fresh; however, the editing should’ve been crisp.

Vox verdict:

Overall, the film has poor writing, but the actors make it watchable.

Rating: 2 / 5
