Hyderabad DEO bans schools from selling uniforms and shoes in campus

Parents of school-going children can now breathe a sigh of relief as new regulations have been put in place regarding the sale of uniforms, shoes, and belts on school premises.

In a significant move, private schools, whether affiliated with the State, CBSE, or ICSE boards, are now prohibited to sell any items within school premises on a profit basis. Furthermore, any sale of books, notebooks, and stationery must be carried out non-commercial, ensuring no profit margin is involved. This directive comes as a response to new district regulations and court orders aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency in the education system.

Reports further added that regular monitoring will be conducted to ensure strict adherence to these guidelines, and all schools are required to comply with these regulations without exception.
