Revanth Threatens Hyd Metro: Modi reacts

In a shocking turn of events, CM Revanth Reddy announced that he isn't ready to budge before L&T if the company threatens to move out from the Hyderabad metro project in view of the existing free bus travel scheme in Telangana.

Interestingly, Prime Minister Modi has reacted on this matter now and here is what he had to say about the same as he fiercely contradicted Revanth's remark.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of rapid transport for national development, highlighting the Metro's role in providing this service. He pointed out that if the free bus scheme hampers infrastructure development, it poses a significant problem. Additionally, he noted that the Metro is an environmentally friendly option, whereas increased bus transport can lead to traffic issues. Modi stressed the need to prioritize forward progress.

Conversely, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded to L&T's comments by stating that if L&T is keen on exiting the Metro, they are welcome to do so. He asserted that the government runs for the benefit of the people, not for corporates, and assured that another operator would be found to run the Metro. It has to be seen where this issue will end up now
