In its official orders Hyderabad and Rachakonda Police ordered for the closure of all liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and other establishments selling and serving liquor, situated within the limits of Hyderabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates. The orders would come into effect from 6:00pm on May 11 to May 13, 6pm.
one of the orders further stated that “Non proprietary clubs, star hotels, restaurants etc., and hotels run by anyone even if they are issued different categories of licences for possession and supply of liquor, shall also not be permitted to serve liquor on these days, in connection with the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 to be held on 13.05.2024.”
