Indian National Congress party has confirmed the Warangal constituency seat to Kadiyam Kavya on Monday, April 1, 2024. Kavya along with his father and ex-minister Kadiyam Srihari joined Congress on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy .
Earlier, it is known that in her resignation letter to the BRS chief, K Chandrashekar Rao, Kavya pointed out that BRS party’s credibility is being lost due to recent controversies like phone tapping case, Kavitha’s arrest in liquor scam and lack of coordination in the party cadre. And mentioned that she is leaving because of those reasons.
Along with Kavya’s name, INC has also revealed the name of the contesting candidate from Akola constituency in Maharashtra as Dr Abhay Kashinath Patil. Lok Sabha polls would be held in Telangana on May 13, 2023 for the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies.
