KCR creates a new record

Telangana state chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao added another feather to his cap. The politician who founded TRS, now BRS, with the aim of having a separate Telangana succeeded in creating a separate state. Not just that, he will have a rare honour among the Telugu CMs now. He became the first Telugu CM to rule a tight-knit state for nine years. So far, none of the total 24 Telugu CMs have gotten the glory that KCR got.

On June 2, the state will complete nine years since its formation. He has been the Chief Minister of Telangana since the inception of the state. He took oath as Telangana CM on June 2, 2014. He will complete his nine-year tenure on June 2, 2023. This is the first time that a person has been a CM for nine consecutive years. Although TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu was the CM for 13 years, it was in three phases. But his tenure as CM continued for only 8 years and 256 days. So, among the Telugu CMs, KCR is the only one who has worked continuously as CM for the longest period of time and created a new record.
