This year marks 10th anniversary of separate Telangana state and the state Chief Minister and BRS party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao wants to commemorate the festivities in a very grand and never before way. He announced 21-day long festivities in the state to mark the birth of Telangana state.
For this to happen, the CM sanctioned Rs 105 crore towards organizing these festivities in the state.
On Thursday at the Dr. B R Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat, he met with district collectors and SPs in the state. He also instructed the Finance Department to release the funds necessary for the Collectors to organise the celebrations in a grand manner that reflected Telangana's glory and included all demographic groups.
He also urged the administrators to start paddy plantation in early by moving up crop season. He ordered that the formation day ceremonies should honour the sacrifices of martyrs, while also requesting that collectors produce pattas for Podu lands
