The BSP chief Mayawati announced the Telangana chief minister candidate on Sunday. If the BSP administration takes office in Telangana, she made it clear that RS Praveen Kumar will serve as the state's chief minister.
She also slammed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the party for misleading the state's residents with deceptive promises.
She claimed that the Telangana Secretariat was named after BR Ambedkar for narcissistic political gain and electoral support, and that his statue was solely erected to win over Dalits.
According to her, under KCR's rule, individuals from all socioeconomic groups are having challenges. She alleged that it has been standard procedure for various parties to approach Dalits during elections and make false promises of advantages like unemployment insurance while omitting Ambedkar's name.
