Minister K.T. Rama Rao, who visited Rajanna Sirisilla district on Tuesday, lashed out at the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making false comments against BRS and its chief. Speaking at the district collectorate office there, he said, "Every decision taken by CM KCR is for the betterment of the poor people. Due to untimely rains, farmers suffered losses, and the CM himself inspected the crop fields. I too inspected the damaged crop fields. BRS is the farmers’ government. In Siricilla district, 19 thousand acres of crops have been damaged across 13 mandals. This is a preliminary estimate. About 17,000 farmers are given Rs 25,000 each per hectare and Rs 10,000 per acre under the Rythu Bhima and Rythu Bandhu schemes announced by KCR garu. Every farmer in the state should be confident, and they need not worry until BRS is in power."

KTR said that they have purchased 7 and a half lakh metric tonnes of grain through civil supply.

Meanwhile, he lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their manifesto announced in Karnataka. "Elections are going on in Karnataka. Narendra Modi's Karnataka election manifesto says three cylinders are free. Is Narendra Modi the prime minister of the country or the prime minister of Karnataka state? Narendra Modi imposed GST even on milk, curd, etc.," echoed Minister KTR.
