A shocking incident has come to light in Bengaluru. A couple from the city have reportedly found a spectacled cobra in their Amazon package. They had ordered an Xbox controller. "The snake was stuck to the packaging tape," reported ANI, posting images from a viral video.
The couple is entitled to receive compensation from Amazon, which potentially had put their lives in danger.
The incident goes to show that snakes might be more than common in warehouses. "They pose a danger to warehouse workers. Most of these warehouses are large and built on land that was earlier used as farming land. So, a variety of snakes lose their habitat. They look for food. If warehouses store food items, they attract rats and snakes," wrote a Netizen.
"Gone are the days when your worst fear was receiving a bar of soap or brick after ordering an electronic item on Amazon, now you have to fear potential threats to your life on opening the package," a user wrote.
The incident has also triggered a wave of light-veined posts. "Seems like Amazon is delivering packages straight from the Amazon rainforest," a Netizen wrote.
