75 delegates visited six states to see Indian voting

Showcasing India's Democracy to the world, the Election Commission of India said that in phase-3, 75 international delegates from 23 countries visited many polling stations in 6 states to witness the poll process. The delegates also witnessed the process of dispatch of polling materials and machines to the polling teams and were appreciative of the magnitude, transparency and most importantly the festive mood of voters.

In phase-3, 75 international delegates from 23 countries visited many polling stations in 6 states to witness the poll process. The third phase of polling was held on May 7, 2024 for about 93 parliamentary constituencies across 11 states and Union Territories.

According to the Election Commission, “The delegates also witnessed the process of dispatch of polling materials and machines to the polling teams and were appreciative of the magnitude, transparency and most importantly the festive mood of voters.”

Meanwhile, the third phase of the voting saw a moderate 61.45 percent of voter turn out as of 8pm on May 7.
