Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s grandson and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has been embroiled in a sex scandal. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed by the Siddaramaiah government to probe the scandal amid allegations that many girls were victimized and harassed.
A pen drive full of allegedly scandalous videos of Revanna has surfaced, sparking a huge row in Karnataka politics. Revanna belongs to the JDS, which is a BJP ally.
The Congress party is now asking questions of the BJP as well as the JDS. "Why did the BJP go ahead with the alliance when Revanna's involvement in the scandal was known? Why no action was taken on the serial rapes video recorded and kept in the pen-drive? Why did the Prime Minister campaign for and share the stage with Revanna despite knowing that he is the kingpin of world’s biggest and murkiest sex abuse? Who helped Revanna escape to Germany? Why is Modi silent?" asked Congress functionray Pawan Khera.
"The BJP leadership was aware of the video clips, yet they suppressed this news and fielded Prajwal Revanna in the Lok Sabha elections. And now, Prajwal has managed to flee the country. Outrageous," wrote Advaid, a social media influencer.
