Opposition voters lose hope, Congress party tries to instill confidence

In the first phase of polling the other day, the voter turnout was relatively low compared to 2019 in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and even Maharashtra. In these States, the NDA is the strongest contender.

At first, many argued that voters in general are lazy or unwilling to vote this time due to the scorching heat wave in some parts of the country. However, a new theory is now emerging. As per this theory, a section of Congress, SP, Shiv Sena and NCP voters have lost the zeal to turn up to vote because they are convinced that the BJP is anyway going to emerge victorious.

It is said that the Congress party functionaries have been instructed by the IT cell of the party to instill hope in INDI Alliance voters by claiming that the alliance will surely win and that the BJP is already scared.

If this theory is untrue, it is likely that a section of BJP voters are too complacent and are staying away from voting believing that Modi will surely win even if they don't vote. If this holds, BJP's final seat tally might be a shocker.
