Telugu Desam Party has a particularly high following in the BC communities. A section of the Muslim population also rallies behind the party in the election. But thanks to the latest speech from PM Modi, TDP is virtually shivering as they are the clear risk of losing Muslim votes due to the unexpected verbal attack from Modi.
PM commented in his election campaign last night that the Congress party plans to distribute the rightful money of Indian to illegal Muslim population in India. He said this in the context of destroying Congress's image amongst the Hindus even if it meant the Muslim would fire on him.
Modi's statement on Muslims were immediately met with retorts as an analyst commented "PM Sir, this country has given you two terms of absolute power, given you so much love, respect and popularity. What's your compulsion to talk like this? How helpless are you to spread hatred towards a community in your speeches, sir! What's your insecurity as a leader? Please spread love, bring communities together. History will remember you. Please!".
This means that the Muslim population in AP who were earlier with TDP could well desert the party now as it is in alliance with BJP which has made the aforementioned statement. These are tricky waters really for the yellow party now.
