ED seizes Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s house

In a major crackdown, the Enforcement Directorate attached hundred crores worth of property of bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra on Thursday. The attached properties include an upscale Residential flat situated in Juhu owned by Shilpa Shetty and another residential bunglow in Pune and Equity shares owned by Raj Kundra.

The case pertains to the Bitcoin Ponzi Scam floated by main conspirator Amit Bhardwaj who swindle funds in the form of Bitcoins (worth Rs 6600 Crore in 2017 itself) from the gullible public with the false promises of 10% per month return in the form of Bitcoins, as per the statement released by ED.

The collected Bitcoins were supposed to be utilized for Bitcoin mining and investors were supposed to get huge returns in Crypto assets. But the promoters cheated the investors and have been concealing the ill gotten Bitcoins in obscure online wallets, added the ED note.

The central probe agency stated that Raj Kundra has entered into a deal with the main conspirator of Bitcoin Ponzi Scam Amit Bhardwaj for setting up a Bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. As a part of the deal 285 Bitcoins were handed over to him which is now worth Rs. 150 Crore.
