Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge today hit out at the BRS over a social media post made by KT Rama Rao. The former Telangana Minister on Tuesday shared an edited video to ostensibly project the Congress as a dishonest party that doesn't keep its poll promises. KTR looked at aiming the gun at the Congress governments of both Telangana and Karnataka. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah himself called out the fake narrative via his personal Twitter account.
On Wednesday, the heated exchanges between the BRS and the Karnataka Congress continued, with Priyank Kharge (who is the Karnataka Minister for IT and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj) describing the BJP and the BRS as thieves in cahoots with each other. "This is why the government of Karnataka is coming up with a cell to combat misinformation and fake news," he added.
At this, KTR reminded Kharge that it was BRS that defeated many bigwigs of the Telangana BJP in the recent elections. "Buddy, we defeated all the BJP bigwigs in Telangana including all three of their MPs, not the Congress party. Better be careful/prepared before you get carried away by the propaganda of Sunil and team," KTR wrote. Sunil in the tweet is a reference to Sunil Kanugolu, the Congress poll strategist.
