Special session of Parliament: Modi says historic decisions will be taken

It is known that a special session of Parliament has been announced for this week (from September 18 to 22). It commenced on Monday. On Tuesday, the session will debut in the new Parliament building in New Delhi.

In a huge development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today told the media that the special session may be short in terms of time period but it is going to be gigantic in terms of the nature of decisions that are going to be taken. "This is a session of historic decisions. A specialty of this session is that the journey of 75 years is starting from a new destination. Now, while taking forward the journey from a new place, we have to make the country a developed country by 2047," the PM has been quoted as saying by ANI.

Speculations are rife that women's reservation bill will be introduced. There are also speculations that the Uniform Civil Code will be discussed. Then there are those who are saying that the Centre will be carving out two Union Territories from regions belonging to Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal. Nobody has a clue.
