Chandrayaan-3's successful landing on the South Pole of the Moon has made India proud. While the country was celebrating the rare feat steered by the ISRO and its scientists, two political controversies arose.
BJP National President JP Nadda delivered a political speech and berated the UPA government of the past in praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to scientific advancement. "Out of 89 launch missions by ISRO since its establishment in 1969, 47 space missions have been under the Modi government in the last 9 years. This is double the number of missions launched in the UPA regime," he said.
Many are of the opinion that it would have been dignified had the BJP leader not brought in the talk about the Manmohan Singh government on a historic day like this.
In another piece of news, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reportedly exhibited total ignorance when a reporter asked him to comment about the historic achievement at a public event in Patna. The JDU leader was told about the ISRO's mission by an aide in front of cameras.
