Will Modi's Rameswaram move bring results? PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are known for their masterstrokes. Despite all their political expertise and deftly designed strategies, they are unable to conquer the South. They thought that couple of victories in Karnataka will give them the required impetus. But now with even Karnataka going out of their hands, PM Modi decided to come with a master stroke.
Inside talk is he is planning to contest from the temple city of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. Modi is planning to contest from Rameswaram (Ramanathapuram) from Tamil Nadu to checkmate and take the ruling DMK headon. He feels this will galvanise the party and the cadre throughout the south. BJP sources in Tamil Nadu says even thay have received those signals. PM Modi will contest not only from Varanasi in UP but also from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.
Following these rumours already DMK MP S Senthilkumar Challenged Him To Contest From Dharmapuri.Senthilkumar said that he was confident that the candidate of the DMK’s alliance partner Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) would be able to defeat Modi. The incumbent MP from Ramanathapuram, Kani K Navas belongs to the IUML. After the election results, Modi is expected to retain Ramanathapuram and quit Varanasi.
Ramanathapuram has huge Muslim votes and that's the reason DMK has given the seat to IUML and it won it from the constituency. The question is will Modi's Rameswaram move bring the desired results for the party.
