Hindus outrage as government allocates Rs 100 Cr for Christian Corporation

The Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka has proposed to set up a Christian Development Corporation with a budget of Rs 100 Cr in the current financial year. The budget proposal has resulted in a severe backlash from online Hindus.

Netizens are pointing out that the money for the corporation will be funded by taxpayers' money, something that goes against the spirit of secularism. "The money will most likely come from Hindu Temples, which are under the Muzrai department. This is another form of jizya! This is exactly what happens when Congress comes to power in any state. A systematic prosecution of Hindus," wrote Hindu activist Shefali Vaidya.

A Netizen commented that this is how Congress practices its so-called secularism. "They campaign against Sanatan Dharma and then give constitutional legitimacy to Muslim reservations. They then take back the law against religious conversion (passed by the previous BJP government) and use the taxpayers' money to appease minorities," Nippon Dash wrote.

BJP's ideological supporters are arguing that Hindus should not get attracted to freebies promised by the Congress party. "Hindus in Karnataka don’t need any development, since they got free bus rides and some free electricity," tweeted Pawan Durani with a tinge of sarcasm.
