Kishan Reddy gets a UN invitation. Union tourism minister G. Kishan Reddy was invited by the UN World Tourism Organisation to speak on global tourism and its linkages to sustainable development goals (SDGs). The event will be held at New York between July 10 and 14.
Kishan Reddy will be concentrating on the decisions discussed at the G-20 tourism ministers meeting at Goa, and the implementation of the ‘India Declaration’ and the 'Goa Road Map' aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and deepening partnerships and collaborations among countries and stakeholders, at the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).focusses on the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and SDGs at the global level, The HPLF was established by the UN General Assembly Resolution 70/299was the apex of the architecture for the purpose.
The theme for the United Nations HLPF will be “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”.he theme will be “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”.
It explores actionable policy guidance for the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs at all levels.
