In a bid to uphold peace, maintain law and order, and curb illicit activities, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta has spearheaded a massive Cardon and Search operation across districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This operation, aimed at identifying and apprehending perpetrators of various crimes, including illegal alcohol trade, narcotics, and unauthorised possession of vehicles and weapons, is being conducted on a vast scale.
The Cardon & Search operation, under the directive of DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, has been initiated with a focus on crucial areas within districts, rural settlements, suspected hideouts, numerous shops, fields, and other locations. Teams involved in the operation are meticulously verifying records and scrutinising vehicles to identify any discrepancies or unlawful activities.
Since its commencement on May 27, 2024, at 12:00 PM, until May 31, 2024, 12:00 PM, the operation has yielded significant results:
From a total of 579 Cardon & Search operations conducted across various districts, 3524 vehicles found with proper documentation, while those lacking appropriate paperwork have been seized. And about 16 arrests were made in connection with various offences. Further, Confiscation of 307 litres of illegal alcohol among others.
