Apparently, Sharmila is being benefited by the cross voting that is done in her favor. There are reports that the Kadapa parliament voters have voted for YCP candidates in the assembly election but have polled the votes in Sharmila's favor in the parliament election.
Though Avinash is still the firm favorite to win the election thanks to Jagan's support, the cross voting that has happened has kept Sharmila in with a chance in the election.
