To ensure a strict vigilance of Andhra Pradesh elections, now the Andhra Police are deployed with body-worn cameras for cops in AP elections at every critical police station.
According to these police officials, through these body-worn cameras, vigilance can be achieved at the critical polling booths. Even an unauthorised person's entry and everything can be monitored from here. Followed by which, striking teams can be directed to the required locations, said Vizag commissioner of police Ravishankar explaining about how they work.
More than 300 body worn cameras are deployed across the state and they are connected to the control room. A demo from Salipeta of Vishakaptanam was shown by the police.
