Sattenapally voters stage protest for not giving bribe ahead of polls

In Andhra Pradesh, voters from Sattenapalli took to the streets as they were not given any money ahead of the polls. The state of Andhra Pradesh is going for polls on May 13 for both Assembly constituencies and parliamentary constituencies.

According to the reports, voters from the 18th ward in Sattenapalli protested on the street and have confronted their local leader on why they have come to the street without giving them the money.

The issue has highlighted how rampant the practise of bribe distribution ahead of the polls. According to the sources, a single vote is being purchased anywhere between Rs.1000 to Rs.15,000 in different regions, depending on the demand in those regions.
