Election Commission orders postponement of welfare schemes in Andhra

The Election Commission of India ordered the postponement of the disbursement of money under various schemes by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. As a result, 14,000 crores of disbursal money would be now halted under various schemes, including Asara, Kalyanamasthu/Shadi Tohfa, Vidya Deevena, Farmer Input Subsidy, YSR Cheyutha, YSR EBC Nestam

Meanwhile, the YSRCP alleges that it is because of TDP, that this money distribution is halted. In a statement, the YCP said that the “Election Commission has taken this extreme step after TDP persistently complained about the volunteer system and thereafter about the welfare schemes. Because of TDP’s complaint now beneficiaries under the following 6 schemes won’t get money until the entire election is over.”
