Election commission transferred two Deputy superintendent of police in Andhra Pradesh. The official notice in this regard was released by the commission on Friday.
Election commission in its orders issued, stated that G Veera Raghava Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ananthapuram and Syed Mahaboob Basha, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rayachoty were asked to hand over the charge to officers immediately below in rank. Further orders stated to report both the officers to Police headquarters immediately.
As the Model Code of Conduct(MCC) is in place by the Election commission of India, it has powers to transfer the police if they found any discrepancy in performing their duties.
