In the previous election, Pawan Kalyan was super confident about winning both Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka assembly constituencies. But he had to end his campaign in humiliation as he lost both the seats comprehensively .
But come 2024 election, Pawan has stuck with one single constituency and that is Pithapuram. He has decided not to contest from two constituencies this year.
Well, there is said to be a tactical reason behind this decision as it is heard from internal sources that Pawan didn't have the intention to go on a double contest again. He feels this would be a waste of financial resources and could lead to more serious consequences.
If Pawan contests two seats again and loses them both again, he would be the first politician in Telugu states with some sort of a positive image to have lost from four constituencies in two elections. So, he decided to stick with a single constituency, it seems.
Pawan apparently felt he is better off conceptualizing his strategies in Pithapuram. Though the chances are weak for him even in Pithapuram, losing in one constituency is more face-saving than losing two constituencies.
