Indian Police Officers (IPS) officers association, Andhra Pradesh Chapter expressed its displeasure over the yellow media for making unsubstantiated allegations against IPS officers.
In its official letter dated April 5, 2024, the IPS officers association said, “It is noted with deep displeasure that Eenadu and Andhrajyothy newspapers and representatives of certain political parties were repeatedly making unsubstantiated and untrue allegations against many IPS officers.
It further called out the papers for publishing news items for being ‘humiliating without any evidence and are aimed at making the police leadership defensive and inactive in the discharge of their legitimate duties.’
The letter further strongly stated that “The Andhra Pradesh IPS Officers Association places its anguish on record and strongly condemns such statements and news items which demoralise the police force.”
