The ways in which Chandrababu Naidu runs his political schemes is not comprehensive even for senior political analysts let alone politically unstable Pawan Kalyan.
When Naidu met SVSN Varma in Pithapuram recently and pacified him after Pawan Kalyan claimed the Pithapuram ticket for himself, everyone thought the issue was settled. But it wasn't as simple as that.
Varma immediately came out and said he will readily contest Pithapuram in case Pawan Kalyan doesn't contest from here. He even said he is supporting Pawan Kalyan only because Chandrababu asked him to do so.
Varma is a strong independent in Pithapuram for TDP and the party is not stupid enough to loose the hold over such an important constituency for Pawan Kalyan. Once Pawan wins from here, Pithapuram is as good as gone from TDP's grip. So Chandrababu is not so concerned enough to leave one of his stronghold constituencies for Pawan Kalyan just for the sake of it.
So, in all likelihood, those who know well about Chandrababu Naidu are saying that Chandrababu might have, if anything, asked Varma to defeat Pawan Kalyan from Pithapuram with internal politics. There is the risk of Pawan growing strong on his own if he wins Pithapuram, so to eliminate this, Naidu might be using Varma.
