It is pack-up time for Power-less Star Pawan Kalyan

By now, it is clear that Pawan Kalyan is going to be a part-time politician for the foreseeable future. At the recent Tadepalligudem public meeting, he made it clear that his party has no money power. On the pretext of making money, he will continue to do films, charging huge amounts from producers as his fee.

For 'BRO', as per his own admission, he charged Rs 2 Cr per day. The makers of the film were fortunate that the project was successfully completed in time and was released in time. If Pawan was focused, 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' would have been shot in 50 working days. The makers of 'OG' and 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', too, have been at the receiving end of Pawan's lack of commitment. Pawan started the above films to make money. The delays must have caused suffering to the producers in different degrees.

The question is, why did Pawan accept films like 'HHVM' and 'UBS' when he knew he won't be able to finish them in time? He justifies everything in the name of earning money for party activities. In the end, he surrenders to Chandrababu Naidu and accepts a humiliating deal. What is the point of earning money for party activities then?

A person who has no regard for the financial health of his producers in the film industry and an actor who has made them suffer, he has no moral right to speak of justice in the field of politics. He may have a legal right to contest elections but his moral right stands erased. He is unfit for both fields - cinema and politics.

As someone who has hardly interacted with bureaucrats, he has no idea of the administration and how processes/people are to be tackled. It is evident from his speeches that he delivers them in a rehearsed manner. They are scripted ones. The pointers are given by others. Only his exaggerated screams on stage are his own.

A theory is that Pawan accepts movie projects so that he could have an excuse to stay away from the hustle and bustle of politics. He wasted his time and the money of his producers just so that he could have an excuse for not building the Jana Sena Party's organization.

If Pawan has been so poor at time management and career planning, how can such a person be entrusted with the responsibility of governing crores of people? Does such a person deserve to become a Minister, much less a Deputy CM or CM? He accuses Jagan of not being concerned about his family members. Does he know that Renu Desai has a similar opinion about him in relation to her?

Pawan has failed on the political front completely, as his recent speech where he alluded to knowing nothing about poll management and booth management showed. In the last ten years, he has made his producers in the film industry suffer at his hands. All this has been done with loads of talk and little action to speak of. Unlimited bluster and pomposity, meagre activity and zero principles. That's Power-less Star for you!

No wonder that people are saying 'Babu ante bore-u, bore-u; Jagan ante joru joru; Pawan ante poru poru'. He has become synonymous with 'Package' and his rivals understandably call him a Package Star. A popular song from 'Annayya' goes like this: 'Aata kaavala, paata kaavala'. Someone asked Pawan, 'Package kaavala' and he jumped the ship. That has become his calling card in politics.
