The election mood has set in early in Andhra Pradesh with Ys Jagan, Chandra Babu, and YS Sharmila already pioneering their individual election campaigns. Things will become more interesting once Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh join in, which could happen very soon.
The Chief Electoral Officer, New Delhi has issued new directives to the regional officers, mentioning that the tentative date for the elections has been locked at 16th April. This is a reference date set for the first phase of the elections by the CEC.
In all likelihood, Andhra Pradesh elections will be held either on the very date - 16th April or possibly even earlier, which will be the first week of April. For now, April 16th is the tentative median date.
Either way, Andhra Pradesh is heading for its third election campaign in under three months from now.
