YS Sharmila has rejuvenated Andhra Pradesh Congress today as she took charge as the APCC president today. She has started her intense political campaign against Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But now, there is an expert opinion that Sharmila will eat into the TDP and JSP votebank more than the traditional YS vote bank which is the mainstay for YCP.
Without Sharmila's entry most of the Congress sympathisers and few other traditional Congress voters who were not happy with Jagan would have voted for alliance which would have certainly helped JSP and TDP.
Now they will vote for Congress. The number might be at a small parameter of 1-2% in terms of overall polling trends but now they will not be added to TDP.
BJP voters will not lean to TDP if no alliance in Andhra Pradesh and all those Dalit, minority voters who TDP were expecting to vote for them will not lean to you now. This will certainly go on to only help Jagan by the anti-incumbent votes going to irrelevant Sharmila than the conventional opposition of TDP-JSP alliance.
